Seminar on the Role of the Church on the Issue of Same-Sex Attraction

Abstract

The issue of same-sex attraction has become a topic that raises various views among the community, including in the church community. This seminar aims to examine the role of the church in providing understanding, pastoral guidance, and a thoughtful approach to individuals with same-sex attractions. The methods used are theological presentations, interactive discussions, and case studies from various ecclesiastical perspectives. The results of the seminar showed that the church has a role to play in building open dialogue, accompanying the congregation pastorally, and instilling a deeper love and understanding of this issue. In conclusion, the church needs to adopt an inclusive and love-based approach, without putting aside spiritual values and the teachings of faith.
