Abstract

This service output provides an understanding of legal literacy in the digital world (cyberspace). The object of this service is located at the Bukittinggi Class II Correctional Center, Agam Regency, West Sumatra Province with the target of the inmates of the Bukittinggi Class II Correctional Center. From the initial exploration, it was found that the inmates still had minimal knowledge about arrangements, policies, and practices (ethics/deeds) when in cyberspace. In fact, understanding of regulation, policy, and wisdom in cyberspace is still minimal. Methodically, this service is carried out in 2 (two) stages, including: In phase I, socialization is carried out and in phase II in-depth discussions are carried out. It was found in this service that the majority of the inmates did not know enough and were literate enough about legal literacy about cyberspace, especially in terms of regulations, policies, and obligations when binan residents accessed the digital world. This service contributes to improving legal literacy in cyberspace while contributing to shaping understanding for inmates when in cyberspace in the legal context.
